Insulation
We recommend attic insulation to be R-60 for high efficiency. Spray foam and cellulose are used to air-seal and insulate and provide one of the best combinations for maximum savings on your energy bills.
Pipes and ducts are also insulated to get the best use of the heat directed to where you want it. Voids in insulation will dramatically reduce the overall effectiveness of what is there. Gaps between batt insulation and framing are checked by our certified building analysts. Fiberglass insulation is not an air barrier and may never be used as an air sealing. Strategic use of high density cellulose or foam insulation is recommended to reduce airflow through the building shell.
